2019: our maiden burn
All the planning, hard work, blood, sweat and tears (yes, really!) paid off. Our performance art project was a great success, bringing smiles and understanding to burners from all over the world. This video gives you an idea of what interacting with and learning from Deaf Granny is like.

Deaf Granny's Kitchen 2019, at 7:30 and Fortuna, Black rock city
Here's a little video that shows a bit of what Deaf Granny's Kitchen was all about its first year, 2019. Deaf Granny engaged fellow burners in her vintage 1950s kitchen, introduced them to many visual communication concepts, taught a few signs, and opened eyes. May her efforts benefit us all.
